Yay!! Our kit finally came this morning! Packaged up a sample of Summer honey from Dusk's hive. We can't wait to see what we get! Should get results in 6-8 weeks once our sample arrives in Colorado. What do you think might be in our Summer honey? I
Success! We have hit our funding goal and are now able to purchase 4 sets of full beekeeping suits and gloves! We still have a smidge left of honey. About 12 bottles left. Get it while it lasts after Mass tomorrow at Our Lady!! 🍯🐝🙏🏻❤️ Thank you a
The bees are busy in both hives packing on the winter weight. They are bringing in loads of nectar and pollen for winter food. We are relieved that the later summer dearth is over and the Fall flow is on! 🍂🐝😅🍯
Did you know that we have a friend that comes and visits EVERY time we inspect the hives? This little toad always hops out when we review Dawn's hive. He blends right in and is very active! We hope he guards the hives.
Glory Bee had an absolute blast at Rocktember sharing Spring and Summer honey with everyone this evening! We raised money to help fund 3 new bee suits for the ministry! We are $180 short of our goal and have more honey to sell this week at @ourladyau

Let's hope this one takes! Installed our third queen into Dawn's hive this afternoon. The bees never requeened after the swarm they had. We installed another queen recently and they must have killed her because she is nowhere to be found. This queen
The results are in! We tested Dawn's Spring honey and waited patiently to learn what was making the honey have such a strong, licorice-like taste. Now we know! We think it may have been the tupelo!! 🙏🏻🍯🤯🐝❤️

We waited and waited and waited and Dawn's hive never requeened after they swarmed way back. So we introduced a new queen this afternoon. Now both hives have new queens. We are hoping these queens live long and prosper! 🤞🏻👑🐝🙏🏻
The bees were very busy eating their fondant this afternoon. They love fresh fondant and will also consume it during times of dearth or in the winter time when they can't forage. We find these much easier to serve and more nutritious than plain sugar

The bees are super busy even though we are in a dearth right now. They are bringing in all kinds of pollen we are guessing from the numerous hydrangeas around Our Lady. Someone snuck in with yellow pollen as well! 🤗🙏🏻🐝
Our Lady has blessed us with several frames of honey! We are pulling honey the rest of July and will be harvesting and bottling in August. Stay tuned on when you can help us extract this liquid gold to share with our community! 🍯🐝🙏🏻
